I have this friend- her name is Beth.
We have known each other since we were in middle school.
I remember going to her house and admiring her American Girl dolls and playing night games when I was about 8 years old- she doesn't remember it at all.
We also knew each other in high school, but we weren't really friends. I wouldn't say we were enemies (she might!) we just didn't hang out with the same people. I might have been a little self-absorbed.
We did Jr Miss together.
We worked at the same Bridal Shop (not at the same time though.)
Then we both married young and worked at Beehive Federal Credit Union while we went to school/ started a family.
It was at BFCU that we became really good friends. We would make Valleywide pop runs in the middle of the day and spent a lot of time talking about Grey's Anatomy. Ever since then we have remained good friends- mainly through blogging. The past few years I've managed to convince her to do some fun things in her new home, made her addicted to Zumba, tricked her into taking me and The Man to dinner and laughing our guts out, and I am currently working on her giving up all her landscaping skills.
She's a saint. Really. She takes on a lot of things most people would never dream of. She also has battled some serious health conditions and won. I'm pretty proud of her.
Anyway, its really refreshing to have a friend that you can be 100% yourself with. She makes me laugh and always seems to send me inappropriate texts right when I need it.
She also took me with her to Boise last week to a Lady Antebellum concert with her mom and aunt. Since she just turned 30- and I will be in a few weeks- it was the perfect excuse to get away for a day!
It was amazing.
I was on cloud nine, I LOVE Lady A.
We talked non-stop the whole way there and back.
We also did a little shopping, a little eating, and way to much laughing.
Kasey Musgraves opened the concert, then Kip Moore came out and made me laugh so hard as he made fun of all the girls using hashtags (#lookingfine), and finally I was in heaven watching Lady A. They were amazing, I didn't want it to end. And I will add the drunk old ladies made for a great time!
We had so much fun and I came home exhausted!
It was a quick trip down and back to Boise, but well worth the drive.
Now I gotta figure out how to one-up her! This whole turning 30 things isn't looking so bad… for now.

You forgot to mention how ruggedly handsome I am...
Um and this post was nice of you, I am pretty amazing, but how much did my mom have to pay you to do it? She told me that the only reason we're friends is because she sends you a check every month. I feel slightly betrayed, but whatever - I still have a friend!!
That concert was the BEST EVER!! Plus the 9 hours of car ride was pretty amazing and hilarious too! (It was sort of awkward though when you tried to spoon me in the night when I was asleep though...)
Love you - thanks for coming and having fun with me!
