We feel extremely blessed to be able to go to Island Park and stay at our family cabin.
It really is such a beautiful place.
The kids run wild in the trees while the adults sit and watch- and talk- and eat!
It might be our favorite place on earth.
And Yes, Leighton is drinking my Diet Coke! Parent fail!! She always seems to get her hands on them when they are almost gone- and once she starts sipping it, nobody wants to sip after her!! And, lets be honest, she is kinda mean if you try and take it away! I pick my battles with her.
On Sunday, before coming home, we decided to take the family over to Wade Lake and show them how beautiful it is! Besides being really really cold it was still such a majestic place.
We walked along the shore searching for crawdads- thank heavens we finally found one! These things gross me out, but it is really fun to try and find them!
We ended getting home later than we usually do on Sunday night- my kids were super ornery and the piles of laundry was a little overwhelming! But it was worth the work. Just being able to relax for a few days and get away from all the hustle of everyday makes me feel like a new person.
I'm pretty thankful to live in such a beautiful place.
