Carmen loves dancing- Like a lot! I know, I've said it all before!
First thing every morning she gets my phone and sets it up in the family room- she then dances and pretends to teach dance for the next couple hours.
She especially loves watching others dance and looks forward to her recital all year long.
It's in her blood.
I couldn't be prouder!!
She took from Dance Unlimited in Rigby from Miss Lindsey this year, we LOVE Miss Lindsey and looked forward to Thursdays every single week.
On the last day of class they had a Princess Tea party, then awards...
And I was completely unaware that she had "Perfect Attendance," Who knew?!
This Thursday she had dress rehearsal and then Saturday night was the actual recital. Just moments before we got there she decided to pick a scab on her leg- as we pulled into the High School I noticed that her BRAND NEW WHITE TIGHTS had a huge spot of blood on them! AHHH! I turned around and rushed home looking for another pair! She had a older pair of tights that had a hole in them that I ended up using- oh dear! I broke the cardinal dance rule! I was pretty frustrated and had to keep telling myself it didn't matter! But then she got on stage and danced so well- it really didn't matter. She was beautiful and I couldn't have been prouder of her.
Her first dance was a Tinkerbell song- Fly To Your Heart.
And her second was a fun Jazz dance, "Do you wanna Go?"
She loved these dances and was so excited to perform. For being such a shy little girl she has no fear when it comes to getting on that stage!
It was also fun to watch all her little neighborhood friends perform as well. She was in heaven the entire night. She wanted to stay and watch all the dances but after the first part the rest of the family was done- so we ended up going to Gator Jacks for a treat after instead.

I went to the RHS Auditorium really early- again I was the first person there!! I have a problem! I had to save 20 seats so I was anxious to get there and get good ones! Thank heavens I did because that place filled up super fast! (I went to the school 3 times that day! Good thing its not to far from my house!) Carmen was so excited to see all her cousins and grandparents there to watch her! She was beaming.
Her father was in a little bit of trouble with me- he showed up SUPER late and almost missed it! (HE walked in as the lights turned off!) Good thing he came with flowers or else he would have been in serious trouble!
As she was dancing I couldn't help but get super emotional! I was a hot-mess! She has grown up so much this past year and I feel like so much has changed. She is so independent and smart- I'm not sure what Im going to do when she goes to Kindergarten! I kept looking at her and thinking how old she looked- I remember dreaming and wishing for a little girl that I could watch dance, now here she is and I wish I could bottle her up! She is really such a sweet little girl and brings so much joy in our family. Im feeling very blessed that she is mine.
Now that it is all done we can officially say our Summer is Here!
