Our little Bean had a big Birthday on friday! As soon as she woke up she came running down the hall into the living room, when she saw me she yelled, "Mom! Im Free!!"
She was so excited! It made me really happy.
This little girl is so full of life, she is sassy and sweet and at times drives me absolutely crazy!
She loves her siblings, daddy, grandparents, friends, and cousins deeply and always has to be part of the party. She can play with toys for hours- especially horses or animals- but won't have anything to do with TV or movies! She LOVES food, especially spicy things, her favorite thing is chips with LOTS of salsa. She loves to sing and dance and remembers words to song after listening only one or two times. She is fierce and demands attention when she wants it, but can be shy and sweet at the same time. She loves other kids and talks like a teenager- and sleeps like one! She goes to bed about 7:30 and usually sleeps in until 10! She is still tiny as ever and gets out of doing most things with the simple reply of, "I'm to tiny." She is smart. (Or Im a sucker for her cuteness!)
She is scared of most animals, but adores horses (except mini ones- they scare her!) And my most favorite thing is that she still calls me "momma." (Again, Im a sucker for her!)
This little girl brings so much laughter and love into our home, I couldn't love her more.
We went to town first thing on her birthday to get balloons and run a few quick errands, when we got home she ran outside to wait for Carmen to get home off the bus and I hurried and wrapped her presents and set up her birthday wall..
when she finally came in and saw it all she was SO excited!
This is a fun tradition that all of my kids LOVE, they get so excited to see the banner and gifts lined up.
She was pretty dang patient waiting all day before she could open those gifts! I did let her get her pony stuffed animal out and play with it.
Funny story: I took her to Kings to let her pick out her gift, (maybe because it was the last minute and I didn't have time to go anywhere else!) she loved it. She went right to the truck isle and picked out a pink truck and horse trailer! I was a little surprised and asked if she was "for sure" on wanting that, she said "Yep! Ive always wanted this tway-wer!" It made for a easy shopping trip for me! And she has played with that thing everyday since.
As soon as Mack got home we headed to Rexburg to get ready for her little party. For the last few weeks I have asked Leighton what she wanted to do for her birthday, every time she said "I want to ride Grandpa's big horse." I thought maybe she would forget or decide on something else, nope, that is all she could talk about for days. So that is what we did. I love that she loves horses and isn't scared of riding the big ones- now Apple blossom (my dads little pony) is a different story, she is terrified of that little horse!
We invited a few friends and family over to ride and have cake and ice-cream. It was a beautiful night and this little Bean had the time of her life riding the big horse and playing with friends. She wasn't even scared getting on that big horse- I was so surprised!
Her dad was able to get home a little early to saddle the horses for her, he loved every minute watching her be so brave and ride. He keeps talking about how great this night was.
It really was the perfect night and just what we all needed.
They rode until it got dark and then we all sat around my parents fire and opened gifts and talked while the kids ran wild.
And of course she was spoiled rotten..
Her big sister got really excited and blew her candles out for her! She didn't mind.
It was the perfect Friday night. We came home late with really tired kids.
Then Sunday she had a little party at Grandma Cody's with her other cousins who also have September birthdays.
It was a lot of work turning 3!
I keep thinking it is crazy that she is already 3! I still remember her birthday like it was yesterday. (Which was scary.) I'm so thankful that she is healthy and strong and such a little spitfire. She makes me laugh everyday and always keeps us busy.
I can't get enough of her cute little face.
