Six (6) and a mini-vaca!

Miss Carmen turned SIX this week!
She may only be 6- but she acts at least 13! She is so tall and mature for her age that I forget sometimes how old she really is!
She has been anxiously awaiting this day for weeks!
A few weeks before her big day we decided that instead of a friend party we would go spend a few days in Utah on a mini family vacation. She had only one request- Chucky Cheese! (Oh dear!)
Friday we headed to Utah to spend the weekend together. We stayed in a fun hotel so the kids could swim and woke up Saturday morning  and went to  Hogle Zoo. The kids loved it, we were most excited that Clint, Lauren, and Tommy joined us! Our favorite part was the grumpy gorilla- he was really grumpy, it was funny, and also the display of dinosaurs- they were so real!

We spent most of the day there and then headed to Chucky Cheese.
Wow. Someone was wore out!
We have never been before (To Chucky Cheese that is), and it wasn't at all we thought it would be! (Huge disappointment!) The kids loved playing the games, but besides that it was a lot of money for crappy pizza and dumb prizes! We stayed until they used all their tokens, then headed back to the hotel to swim. (And I took nap!)
Sunday we made a detour to IKEA to check out some things for our home- and then headed home.
It was a great relaxing weekend, and a perfect way to kick off our summer!

Monday, on Carm's actual birthday, we had a little family party in our backyard. She was so excited that all her grandparents came to see her.  The weather was perfect and we had a great night.

Carmen is such a blessing. She really is my best friend and such a great sister. She loves to help around the house and pretty much dances all day long. She is smart and for the most part she is pretty obedient. She loves to be with her family, grandparents, and especially cousins. I love watching her grow up and wish it would slow down a little bit!
For her birthday,  all she wanted was her ears pierced and a jewelry box. So a few weeks before the actual day Grandma Kunz and I took her to the mall and had them pierced. She was so brave- she tried so hard not to cry and a small tear fell down her cheek, it broke my heart! She has since showed everyone she sees her new ears! She's obsessed! Afterwards we had a nice little pedicure!

I'm not sure if she could be anymore girly! She loves lipgloss and shopping, singing and dancing, and cafe rio! She is pretty stubborn- like  her momma- and will try most things once. She is still terrified of most animals and is shy around new people. She loves playing school with her brother and "house" with anyone who will play with her. She loves to draw and color. She is a great eater. She loves Taylor Swift and "Austin and Ally." She is a great sleeper and can't stay awake past 8 most nights! She is always the first one up and has a hard time not waking everyone up around her! She loves to take care of her baby cousins and carry them around, she can't wait for the new baby brother to get here. She makes friends easily. She loves riding her bike and driving the four wheeler. She is loving and is very loved.

This girl makes me proud each day that I get to be her momma.
