The Tooth fairy didn't get caught in a snow storm last night, (like the first time Mack lost his tooth!) but instead she showed up in the night with a new $1 dollar bill! Mack has been working on getting this tooth out for weeks. We tired pliers, paper towel pulling, chewing on a wet washcloth, biting apples, floss, you name it! For such a tiny little thing that sucker was stubborn.
My main concern was the permanent tooth was starting to come in behind the baby tooth and was turning almost sideways! We needed to get that baby tooth out so that tooth could come in straight-er! I even called the Dentist about it and made a appointment in a few weeks to have it pulled- but was hoping we could get it out ourselves in the mean time!
I'm pretty sure this boy is doomed to have braces at 15!!
Last night at my sister's birthday party everyone took a turn trying to pull that little sucker out… nobody could do it! We tried for a hour, Mack was so brave and patient, he would just go from person to person letting them try and get it out! Then my Dad, (AKA: Popeye) pulled it right out! Mack didn't even flitch, in fact he didn't even realize it was out!
He was so excited. You can see in the picture above his permanent tooth already coming in!
I think he was even more excited knowing that the Tooth fairy was coming!!
(We might have had to make special arrangements with her to make sure she would make it this time… last time was a little devastating!!)
2 down- and many more to come! I love the tooth-less smile phase!

What's with our kids and the "big teeth growing in behind the little teeth" thing?! 3 of Megan's have been like that, and I'm thinking she'll need braces too the way things are going!
Good job popeye for getting that bugger out, and I think it's funny that your whole family was trying! If you even MENTION pulling her tooth Meg starts crying!
Good job tooth fairy!
Slade has had a couple that the adult tooth was already out too and I had a couple when I was a kid too. Slade lost a tooth a couple months ago that took the tooth fairy a week to come for. I just kept telling him she must have been really busy :)
