{Carmen's New Bed}

About a year ago- or maybe even longer I don't remember!- We spent a few days in Provo with our family, at that time we were buying furniture to bring home, refurbish, and sell. Well, I happened to come across this lovely daybed and couldn't help but buy it for myself, after all it was only $25! Yeah! Solid wood baby!

I ended up bringing it home and storing it in our garage until I found the time to paint it and get it put together. It has been sitting there ever since. This past week I was able to get it painted and ready to use... Carmen was so excited she could hardly stand it!

Anyway, Carmen was pretty excited to get her new daybed set up and ready to use. I feel like that bed looks so much better against that GIANT PINK WALL! It makes it feel less- pepto pink in your face!!  Although the room is still very pink- she loves it. I won't complain.

I know what your thinking, "Looks like it did before?" Well, not really!
The new bed really did make a big difference- this is what the other bed looked like...

and now the new bigger day bed!

We will soon be putting her previously used bed in Leighton's room- but that is on hold until I buy a  twin mattress. Leighton has been sleeping just fine in her toddler sized bed, so we are in no hurry to move her up, plus I'm not quite finished with her new bedding!
Im also hoping to paint those black bookshelves white or put some sort of door on them... humm. Not sure yet, but I can't stand them!

But I'll tell you what I can stand- this little face!
He melts me,  I can't seem to kiss him enough!
Mack was a huge help while The Man put the bed together. This kid has matured so much lately, he seems to be so much older than he really is. After I took a few pics of Carmen with her new bed he wanted one of him in his room- I couldn't resist. Even though I feel like he is growing up so fast and becoming a young man, he still looks like my little baby in this picture. (Kind of!)

And he loves his BRIGHT GREEN WALL, I feel it is a little bright- I'm beginning to realize that my house a lot of brightly painted accent walls- maybe I need a intervention?!! When it comes to my kids rooms I let them pick what color they want, so far they both are very satisfied with their choices!

I pick my battles.

(Ps: Remember when I used my good camera to take pictures and not my iPhone? I need to work on that!)
