{Furniture Transformations}

I had the opportunity this past month to work on a bunch of items for a single client, it was great to have so many things to dig into at one time. I loved being able to take all of these beautiful pieces and create an entirely different look. Painting furniture for me is more than just a job- I really enjoy doing it. It's a great way for me to get out my creative energy and I love seeing the transformation of each item. I usually work when my kids are sleeping- or in the good weather I can work while they are playing outside. It's a great outlet for me.

I won't bore you anymore, let's get to the good part!

First, this pedestal table started out looking like this...
Before & During...
and AFTER!
(Top is SW: Antique white, and base is True Value: Easycare 'Hay bale' in Satin)
I sprayed each piece in a thick coat of bonding primer. (These pieces were previously painted in a think oil or crappy laytex paint, they were sticky and really goopy.) After a really good sanding I had to put a thick layer of primer on to start so that the paint wouldn't come through. It was a mess and took a while, but was worth the extra step in the end.

This queen bed was pretty rough to start out! She was a painters nightmare! Sticky paint, drips, and lots and lots of HOT PINK! But- nothing a little lot of primer and Sherwin Williams 'Cashmere" Antique White Paint couldn't handle! (OK- and maybe some serious sanding!)

Before & During...

and AFTER!
(I did finish these with a light glazing for a antiqued look)
Here it is now in it's new home, isn't this bedroom to die for?!

I also did the nightstand and large dresser to match the bed...
Before
And AFTER
(Dresser looked the same as this end table- just a LOT bigger!)

This small accent table painted a light grey/beige color...
Before
and AFTER

and my FAVORITE!!
This Dresser started out pretty good- but we wanted something fresh and bright.
Before

I used a custom color (The people at Sherwin know me and are used to me and my color mixing when I walk in!) I needed a good grey-blue.
Something in between ALL of these colors!!
We chose option 1- but added a little more blue.
The Numbers were just for a little something extra!

AFTER!
and here it is in it's new home!
(All of these items are a Interior Designers Friend of mine, she has TONS of treasures and talent up her sleeve!)
These items were good "before" but it was a lot of fun to make them even BETTER after!

I am now booking custom paint orders for June, all you have to do is email/call/message me on Facebook with a picture of the item you want painted then a little detail on what you want done! I'll get back with a price and timeline! We can also pick up and deliver items if needed!!

Don't be shy- I will work with any budget and pretty much try to paint anything!
