Bear Lake 2014

Our family takes a trip to Bear Lake and stays for a few days every 2 years, it might be my favorite four days our of the whole 2 years. (We should go more?!)

My parents rent a cabin and we split up the meals, we take the boat, some four wheelers, and spend as much time as we can in the water.  Our kids play the ENTIRE time and we eat way to many oreos and raspberry shakes.
It's tradition.
It's a dream.

We spent the end of Thursday doing a little late night tubing and playing in the sand. Then got up early on Friday and spent the entire day playing in the water on jet skis and just running wild.  The kids were exhausted. Again Saturday we boated and swam and got way to much sun. That night we had our favorite dutch oven chicken and scones then headed to Pickelville Playhouse and watch Beauty and the Beast. My cousin and her daughter played "Mrs. Potts & Chip" in it, it was so much fun and super entertaining. We loved it. Sunday we woke up and had a quick breakfast, then cleaned up and loaded to head home, this day is always a sad one!
We decided to stop for lunch on our way home and ended up at a Diner in Star Valley- it was awful! They were out of a lot of things we tried to order, they took FOREVER, and the worst part- our chicken was raw! It was so gross. I think I got food poisoning because on our way home I puked my guts out! Then the rest of the night I was so sick- not a good way to end a vacation!

But the rest of the trip was Fantastic!

Here are all the girls, Mack, and Grandpa at Pickleville Playhouse before the play started. The kids loved it and we had so much fun.
My mom has a serious love for pickles- she was in heaven with these Pickles on a stick! (Gross- I hate pickles!)
Here is my cousin Mindy and her cute daughter Ethenny- they did fantastic!

And because I was enjoying the sunshine and a nice vacation I didnt take to many pictures! I always regret that afterwards- but its hard to justify pulling out my camera when I'm on vacation and just want to enjoy the moment!

My favorite part of the weekend might have been when we rented a big water banana tube to pull behind the boat- Scott, Me, Lauren, and Kyle rode on it and those boys tired their hardest to kill us girls!! We screamed and laughed and had so much fun the entire time. They tipped up pretty good and I did bail one time in fear of my life!! Kyle kept yelling "Hold on to your weeny!" The first while until he realized it was actually a banana! Oh man, funny stuff! I makes me laugh just thinking about it! We also rented Jet skis and Melinda, Lauren, and I took it for a spin- lets just say that it might not be a good idea to put us 3 on one of those babies!! We had such a great time, I haven't laughed that hard in a long long time!

We didnt spend to much time at the cabin but when we did we were outside! It had a hot tub, volleyball court, and beautiful view of the lake. We had fun just sitting outside watching the kids run wild and mainly laughing at Kyle (my brother) be crazy. He turns into a big kid when we get together!

It was perfect- well almost! We did have one little incident that left us all feeling uneasy! But besides that it was perfect. The kids were in heaven and the adults got some much needed down time! I came home with some serious blues and had a hard time getting myself back into the swing of normal life.

I can't wait for 2 more years until we go do it all again!

Um so I'm sorry but I can't be your mom's friend anymore since she ate a pickle on a stick. Just saying'...

Well now I'm dying to know what the "one thing" was that made you uneasy...

I'm glad you guys had so much fun, Bear Lake is an awesome place and I love the pics of all the kids! (I cannot believe how much hair Kyle's baby has. So cute!)

You should convince your family you need to go at LEAST every year, not every other!
