Besides the Hike and WAY to much food we did do other things over the weekend at our Kunz Family Reunion.
This was the little cabin we stayed in. It is lined with bunk beds and was pretty nice, although I didn't sleep at all! I was grateful when morning came just so I could get out of there, I was feeling a little costraphobic! Once we got home from the hike we spent the rest of the day around the camp ground.
We played Splendor: This might be my new favorite board game. It's a good one and its always fun to sit with Shane and tease him about his OCD tendencies. (Hence the card pocket protectors?!)
We hung around outside and watched the kids go down the slide then up the stairs a hundred times: Carmen was the only child who had a near death experiance- yes, that would be my child.
Cole's youngest son Gus. (Above)
Rett (Above)- Wade (Below) Coles boys
Mason- Mollys son
Everyone got into a intense game of Volleyball that lasted 2 hours: we aren't very competitive! (That isn't real- these people are VERY competitive!) but I especially love that everyone is willing to play.
Then at the end of the night we held a family talent show and had the Uncles and Aunts tell stories from when they were kids. This was my favorite part of the whole day, I love listening to them talk about when they were little and how different their lives were. I feel blessed to be part of such a amazing family.
Teresa MC'd and was so funny- I love this lady.
The Whitaker family did a hilarious chin puppet show (and Hazel may have fallen asleep! In the orange.)
Olivia (Mikes daughter) did a solo and sung a original song- I could keep her.
(Below) Craig, Jeanne, my Dad, Marlys
They all had to tell stories of milking cows- and may have had a vote on who did more!
Our kids got up and told some jokes- they may or may not have made them up on the spot! It was funny to just watch them actually do it and not be scared! I was pretty proud.
Craig and Chris's grandchildren did a amazing Grease lip-sync!
(Allie, Kate, Sydney, Ashlyn, Saylor, Rett, Wade, Mason)
Wade (Left) told a story- and Caleb (Right) played piano. This kid is a piano prodigy, it was amazing.
(Ashlyn, Saylor, Mason, & Allie)
Mason and Jace with their winnings.
Jeanne brought tons of these and had a "Guess How Many" candy counting game.
This is my favorite picture of the day- Leighton was in heaven running around playing all day.
She loved the swings and all that dirt.
It was fun.
I'm actually really excited for next year.
