Disney Vaca: Day 6

Wednesday we all woke up excited knowing we would be back at Disneyland and hoping it would be less crowded than Monday. Thank heavens it was. The longest we waited in line was maybe 20 minutes.
I was very excited to have the kids wear their shirts I had made- but in the chaos of the day I never took a picture of the three of them with just the shirts!! HA!
We arrived early again and went right into meet and greet the Characters. My kids absolutely loved meeting them, this was one of my favorite parts of our trip. Leighton would bounce with excitement, and Mack and Carmen would just stare at them all star struck! It was fun to see watch them believe in the magic being a kid brings. The lines were short and we had no trouble meeting all of the Mickey Mouse characters and princesses, plus a few more.

I defiantly recommend taking the time to let your kids meet them, they play their roles so well and even now they are still talking about that more than anything else.

We talked the kids into going on Splash mountain again!!
Carmen might be traumatized, totally worth it!
I was so excited to take Mack on the Indiana Jones ride, we headed to it first, we went right in and were almost ready to get on the ride and it broke down. I was so sad. It was down for the rest of the day so we never got to ride it. Huge bummer! (But they did give us a few fast passes to use on any other rides so that helped!)
Then we went right in to see the Princesses, usually you have to wait forever to get in but we had no wait at all.  Leighton was a ball of energy! She literally did not stop jumping the entire time! It was so funny.
As crazy as the park was we kept running into our neighbors from home! Mack and Quinn are really good friends and in the same class, they were so excited to see each other! We also ran into a girl that is in Carmen's dance class! Small world!
And of course the kids had to do the tea cups again! But this time they had to take Grandma.
It's a Small World had just opened up after being closed for a few weeks to make it all Christmasy- it was beautiful, I loved it.
We also spent a lot of time in Toon Town, the kids loved checking everything out in the little homes and touched everything.

And a few rides and characters...
And just before we sat down to wait for the parade Carmen and I went over to meet Tinkerbell, they closed the line right behind us, so we were the last to see her that day. They were so sweet with Carmen and gave her lots of extra attention! She loved it! I couldn't believe how tiny Tinkerbell really was!

She also met Tinks friend Silvermist.
Then we sat down for the Night Light Parade- it was fantastic, our seats were amazing.  We had the best time. Leighton just screamed at all the characters trying to get their attention!
After the parade finished we did a couple more rides then we walked over to see the castle and get a better view of the fireworks, they had changed the castle for Christmas and the lights were amazing- it really was breathtaking.
They music and fireworks made it the perfect ending to such a great day.
As soon as the fireworks ended they made it snow- I cried. (Really.)
It was so magical.
I can't believe how they do things.
We walked home that night feeling very grateful to live where we live and so blessed to be able to take our kids on this trip. I was feeling very emotional!

We got back to the room and our kids fell right asleep. My parents made us go to dinner and they stayed with the kids in the condo. It was so nice for us to get out and just talk by ourselves for a hour. We walked to Bubba Gumps and had some shrimp.  The atmosphere was fun, but I didn't love the food. We were completely exhausted and had a hard time even staying away through dinner!! We came back and went right to bed!
I think we all slept like rocks!

Oh man I'm jealous about It's A Small World! It was closed when we were there and they said it had been closed for about 6 months because they were totally renovating it. Indiana Jones was closed down, along with Pirates of the Caribbean and Finding Nemo. Man, you got to meet a TON of characters! So fun, and love it that your kids were enthralled! That was our kids' favorite part too!
