This girl absolutely loves school.
She is the first one up every morning and always is anxious and ready to go! She puts her heart into everything she does, and school is no exception. She loves having homework and always tells me 100 times what she needs to do for the next day- I often drag my feet when it comes to homework!! (Second child problems!)
She has LOVED her teacher this year, Mrs. Birch. She also has loved having her best friend Ady in her class. Carmen loves to read and color, she also is working really hard on her math. Im grateful for her older brother who helps her a lot when it comes to these things!
For her graduation she sang her little heart out, I could tell she was a little shy during her performance, she chews her fingers when she gets nervous, but I was pretty proud of her.

At the end of the program they called the kids one-by-one up to get their certificates. Carmen hugged Ms. Birch then came running to me in tears. She cried so hard, it was heart breaking. She said she was so sad to leave Ms. Birch and didnt want to have summer! That is a good sign of a great teacher! Good thing Ms. Birch lives by us so I promised her we would visit her a bunch this summer! When we left the school and Carmen was pretty sad all day, she had a rough time knowing it was over!
I have mixed emotions about summer beginning, I'm glad to not have to get up and drive the kids to and from school each day, but I like the routine it gives them! I just hope we can fill our days with things to keep us entertained! Otherwise its gonna be a LONG HOT SUMMER in this rental home!
