This summer is breaking all the records for all time HOT! Its only June and we have passed 100 degrees! Wouldn't you know I'd be seriously pregnant and living in a rental with NO AC!! Just my luck! It's been miserable, to say the least, but I'm trying to be optimistic and we spend as much time as possible trying to cool down.
For our 3rd Year we decided to take swimming lessons at Heise Hotsprings, Mack and Carmen for the 3rd year and Leighton's 2nd. It was a long 2 weeks of driving up there in the heat of the day, our lessons started at 2:00. The kids loved it and looked forward to it every morning, me, I dreaded the drive and especially the heat!
On the last day Leighton was super brave and went down the slide with Mack, she came out a little surprised but didn't go again! Carmen also went one time- she came out crying!
I feel like they all made some great progress this year, Mack especially.
We have made a few spontaneous stops at the splash park in Rexburg, complete with large Diet Cokes and Little Caesars pizzas!
And we finally made it to Rigby Lake. We met up with the Hammers and spent the morning playing around. Im sure we will be there weekly! Although I did come home with a strange rash all over my legs!
Mack would swim out to the slide and back with no problem, he is a great swimmer. Then at the end Carmen decided she wanted to try- she made it to the dock but after crying for 15 minutes I finally had to ask a nice man to help her get back to the shallow part! So embarrassing! There was no way I could get out there and bring her back! She is so stubborn sometimes, it drives me nuts!
I've decided that in order for me to be a happy person I must be cool- like as in temperature! I can't handle the heat! And AC is a necessity for my overall happiness!
So- off we go to my parents house again today so that I can cool off in their nice home! Thank heavens it's close!

Um I am DYING of laughter that you had to have somebody random go get Carmen off the dock! Ha ha ha ha! Don't worry my dear, if I'd have been there I would have gone and gotten her for you (while laughing silently in my head!)
Can't wait to have a Rigby Lake day with you guys! (Although I'm concerned about the rash on your legs... I feel like I need more information...)
