Mack is seriously the sweetest!
And a few weeks ago (yes, I am SO BEHIND) he turned 8!
He has been anxiously awaiting being 8 years old for months!
Because I was battling bronchitis and other pregnancy related sickness I woke up feeling awful. And it didn't help that I felt like the worst parent ever- I mean he gets one birthday a year and I could barely get out of bed!! Good thing he is so patient, he told me he was ok with doing a simple party that night as long as he could open one present first thing in the morning. (Smart kid!)
He opened a game for his DS and spent the rest of the day playing it- I realize this is terrible parenting! But some days its about survival, this was one of those days!
But my mom and sister came to my rescue, as usual, and planned a amazing Harry Potter Birthday party in only a few hours. It was amazing.
I was beyond thankful and Mack was so surprised. He had the biggest smile the entire night!
They went all out with the food, decor, and games- with everything Mack loves!
They invited Grandma Cody and our friends the Hammers over to, Mack was so excited to have them all there with him.
And of course Mack got the beloved Harry Potter complete book set.
He had been eyeing it for weeks!
He also got school clothes, some games, a bb gun, and a bow and arrow from Grandma and Grandpa Kunz.
The kids played some fun Quidich games with Randall and James being the bad guys. It was a beautiful night and the kids ran non-stop!
And of course we had cake.
Mack isn't to into sweets but he loved the lime cookies.
I know I say it all the time, but he really is such a sweet boy. He is so aware of others feelings and always willing to help. He rarely complains and will try most anything. Mack loves being a big brother and helps his sisters so much. Im not sure Id make it these last few months without his help.
At 8 he loves to read and do art, he loves to ride his motorcycle and four wheeler around. He also loves to play his kindle and DS. You can find him close to me most days, he likes to stay close by and takes great care of me. He loves school and can't wait to start the 3rd grade. Mack is still a picky eater but is getting better at trying most things. He likes peanuts and gatorade and hates anything with sauce! This summer he started boxing and also is excited to start flag football this fall. He loves to play basketball and do flips on the tramp.
He adores his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins- and would rather be with his family than anyone. He is observant and remembers everything, and has the biggest heart ever!
We can't get enough of this kid and are so grateful he is ours. I kiss his face all day long!
