1st Season of Football

Way back in September Mack started his first season of Flag Football. 

He surprised us all and did so good. When I say "He surprised us," I don't mean it was surprising how well he played, he is naturally athletic, but I was surprised with how much he actually liked it! Mack has a tendency to get bored with things pretty fast. If it doesn't challenge him he loses interest fast. We really thought he would feel this way about going to practice twice a week and then spending a hour every Saturday playing, but he loved it. 

He never complained about going to practice (I may have a few times!) and he would often come home and make his dad work with him on plays. Randall loved every second, he was a pretty proud father! 

Mack is a really fast runner when he tries and he made a few touchdowns during the season. He also loved when his cousins, grandparents, and aunts and uncles came to watch him.

 The games were held at a elementary school that was basically in our backyard (at the rental) so I loved that we could walk over and watch him. His last game was actually on the day I had the baby so I wasn't able to go to it, but Randall left the hospital for a few hours and went to be with him, the grandparents, and the girls. Mack always had his own cheering section! 

I hope this is something he wants to continue to do, because I do love watching football, it's about the only sport I enjoy watching!
