Halloween 2015

 Halloween 2015
Leighton the magical unicorn, Mack the Zombie Sock Monkey, Carmen the Princess Sock monkey, and Ridge was a baby sock monkey.

I tried my hardest to get Leighton to be part of our Sock Monkey family and I wasn't above bribing, but she was not having it! She insisted on being a unicorn! She drives me nuts most days with her stubbornness, she definitely has her own crazy ideas!

I found all of these costumes online on zulily.com for super cheap, I let the kids pick out what they wanted. Once Mack and Carmen saw these sock monkey costumes they were so excited! We couldn't wait for them to get here.
Mack cracked me up all night, that mask fit him perfectly and he got lots of funny looks from people. He especially liked chasing Leighton around scaring her!  And of course Carmen's also fit her girly personality! I think she looked adorable.
This girl is so sweet, and her favorite part was getting to wear makeup!

For Leighton's Preschool party she ended up wearing her Little Mermaid dress up, we had quite the meltdown right before class because we could not find her unicorn horn! So we compromised.
They went to a pumpkin patch and had a fun preschool halloween party. I love her Preschool teacher and she loves all her little buddies.

Mack and Carmen dressed up for school that day also. Except Mack couldn't wear his because it had a mask, so the night before we had to come up with something pretty fast. Even though he didn't know who Clark Kent was, he was excited to be him! He doesn't like dressing up as much as I would like him to! So this was a great compromise!
And Carmen ended up throwing her gloves away with her lunch tray... ya.
She was pretty upset about that!

Our little Sock monkey family.
We took the kids trick -or-treating around our old neighborhood and then we went to Grandma Cody's neighborhood. They got WAY to much candy and loved running from house to house. The weather was beautiful and we actually were able to leave Ridge with Grandma Cody for a while so I could go with the kids, it was fun to get out for a few minutes!

This girl, I love that face.

And Grandma and Grandpa Kunz showed up just before we left with treats and to help me get them ready. (Ridge was of course crying the whole time!)

I feel like Halloween came and went so fast, I'm glad that the month of October has come and gone!
