3 Months!

Our Chucky Monkey is already 3 months!
I know you think I am going to say, "It went by so fast!" But it didn't! He was such a hard newborn  and we both didn't sleep for the first 2 months of his life! Which made it very difficult to enjoy! We finally were able to get him on some acid reflux medicine and did a few appointments at the chiropractor and he has been a totally different baby. Phew! We survived!

And after I had a serious breakdown at about 10 weeks we decided that nursing was not for me! I couldn't go without the sleep any longer and I needed the help! It was hard on my body quitting so fast, but after about a week of serious soreness I felt much better. And... he gained a TON of weight! I think he likes it to! He also started sleeping through the night- well some nights, and he takes better naps during the day. It was a hard decision to let that go, considering I knew he was our last, but now I realize how unhappy we both were those first few weeks. I am the type of person that needs a routine and a little freedom! I also need my sleep! Now we are getting through our days much better and I am starting to feel like my old self again.

On January 1st 2016, I checked this AP that shows you the most popular pictures from the past year...
...and he was no doubt the Star of the show for 2015! From finding out we were pregnant in February- bringing him home in October! Although 2015 was not a year we want to remember, he was defiantly the best part of the whole year!

Ridge is such a sweet boy and is very Chunky! He has rolls for days! I'm sure he weighs about 13 lbs, but I haven't weighed him for a while! (Last child problems!) He eats 4-8 oz. a feeding and LOVES to be held by his mom, dad, or Mack. He doesn't really like anyone else! He shudders a little when Leighton is near by and Carmen makes him crazy, she is always picking him up and putting him down, she is quite the little mommy!

He loves his little singing monkey and vibrating chair, he goes to sleep with both. He also has to be swaddled VERY tight at night to sleep. He is kinda picky about his binky, he likes it only sometimes and the same goes for his car seat! He will sleep in it pretty good, but only if he is REALLY tired.
His favorite time is Bath time and his feet are always up in the air!
Ridge is pretty serious! He will give me and his dad really big smiles and laughs, but that's about it! Most of the time he looks like this! Just checking things out all wide eyed!
We call him Ridger, Rigdey, Handsome, baby, Sweet boy, and Big guy. He is very responsive when he is being talked to and gives the best smiles ever- except when he is tired- then he just screams!
He got this seat for Christmas and he is still unsure about it! He has a hard time holding that big head up and it is helping him with those neck muscles, but it wears him right out!
He naps 2-3 times a day from 20 minutes to 3 hours, we live for those rare long naps!! He sleeps in his room and usually sleeps from 10pm-5am, but sometimes he wakes up around 2 for a feeding. Then he is usually up again with all the kids at 7 for another feeding! He loves to be rocked or lay in his swing,  if I can keep Leighton out of his room that is usually where he naps.
Ridge has been by far the biggest momma's baby of all my kids, he loves me! He wants me to hold him, feed him, rock him to sleep- if anyone else tries (most of the time) he won't have it! But as soon as I take him he is fine! Little turd! But I do kinda love it. (Most of the time!)
He has really started to develop a cute little personality,  he is serious most of the time and likes to be left alone (mainly from his sister!) He is such a boy! He coos and giggles and likes lots of noise! Especially if he is sleeping, if it's to quiet he wakes up and screams- and he has some serious lungs! If I can't get him to sleep I can usually turn on the vacuum and it calms him right down! We also have to run a fan and music all night to keep him asleep! So high maintenance!

Some days I look at him and am amazed that he is even here! I really thought we were done with 3! I'm not going to lie, the adjustment to being back in the baby stages has been hard and some days I feel like I'm losing my mind! But as soon as I pick him up and he gives me his great big smiles those feelings are gone. He is such a sweet little boy and is so adored. His siblings are obsessed with him and help me so much. I'm pretty sure he gets 1 million kisses a day- and most of those are from his crazy sisters! It has been fun to watch them with him, they have all grown up so much. Mack already has the sweetest little bond with him and is completely smitten! He is my best helper.

We sure do love him and are so blessed to have him finally complete our little family.

Sweetest little thing ever! I'm laughing so hard though that he shudders at Leighton! Ha ha ha!

Love you and glad both of you are doing better! Giving up nursing is hard, but sometimes it's just what you have to do!

Your family is the cutest!
