Christmas Morning is so magical! I love all of it, the sleepy faces, excited squeals, wrapping paper everywhere! It's the best. I actually slept in a little this year (7:00!) and when I woke up we found the 3 older kids checking out all their goods! I guess it was a bad idea to wait until 4am to "set up!" But it was still so fun to watch them get all excited and still believe in Santa.
We took a pic just before bed... and that tree drove me nuts for 2 weeks as the light strands kept burning up! Grrr!!
We gave the kids this basketball game, I actually found in on Facebook for a super great deal! It's loud but it has been fun to have. (But it is already driving me crazy!)
Im that mom that makes each kid take a turn opening their gifts! It's torture for them!! But I like dragging it out as long as possible! Ha!
Mack asked for a pogo-stick (also found that on Facebook!), Leighton asked for Starlily and a Baby Alive, and Carmen asked for Boots and a Easy-bake oven.
Ridge asked for a Seat to help him sit up on his own!
Santa found these boots on Amazon and they can be seen miles away! They are VERY sparkly, and Carmen was so excited- she almost cried!
Leighton was so excited to get these "Charlie" books, they are written by the Pioneer Woman- she is obsessed with her! Mack also asked for a UnderArmor sweater, its sad that he is getting to that age where name brand clothes matter! Ahh!
Randall gave me new shiny pans and some cute clothes and I bought him a deep fryer- the gift that keeps on giving! Every year I swear Im not doing as much, and every year I seem to go a little to far! I get sucked in!! These kids are spoiled.
After gifts Randall and I went upstairs and made waffles and pancakes. It was delicious.
Then we spent the rest of the morning just letting the kids enjoy their gifts.
Then about 2 we went to Grandma Cody's and spent the rest of the day with family.
We came home absolutely exhausted! But feeling very blessed. Especially for our favorite gift of the year, this little babe. It was a rough year trying to get him here but worth every single minute.
