Christmas Vacation

Christmas Season has come and gone! What happened to December?! I can't believe its over, actually I feel that way about the entire year! But I will admit I am very relieved it is over! It was all very emotionally and physically exhausting, and probably the hardest year we have had to face thus far!

Christmas break was no exception! We spent most of our 2 weeks with our extended families, with a few days spent at home just the 6 of us. The kids were beyond excited to be with their grandparents and cousins as much as possible. And I was just thankful that Randall was around more than last year! (Last year he was out pushing snow almost the entire 2 weeks- including Christmas day!) We spent majority of the time together. We slept in a lot and stayed up to late most nights! We played in the snow and watched a few movies. And this year we actually stayed home for the 2 weeks- we usually go to the cabin!

Basically it was 2 weeks of much needed downtime... we played in the snow a lot!

This little dude started cooing and smiling! Its our favorite!
Ridge had his 2 month check up and is a whopping 11 lbs!! He is growing like a weed and finally not crying all day! We were able to get him on some acid reflux medicine and he is so much better. He is gaining weight and sleeping like a champ!

We did get to visit with Santa at our Wards Christmas Breakfast, but Carmen would have nothing to do with it!

Clint and Lolo's family came for 3 whole weeks! We got to spend a lot of time with them and loved every second. My kids were super homesick for them a few days after they left.
 Ridge 2. months & Clay 6 months

Mack was a trooper and had to be taken to a few dentist appointments then have a quick surgery during the break. We were finally able to get that "extra" supernumerary tooth taken out, along with a few other baby teeth! His teeth dont want to come out on their own so they end up having to be pulled. It's not to fun, but he is a great sport. After the surgery he came out of anesthesia and was hilarious, Randall and I filmed it and could not stop laughing at him! Only a few hours after surgery he was back to his normal smiling self. Although we did get a laugh out of his numb face smile!

We were able to finally get to see our friend CJ get home from his mission! He was a great missionary and we are super proud of him! Now we just need to convince him that he should work for Spruce it up forever!
These pictures were taken the day he left- and the day he came home. My kids were so excited to see him, as was Randall!

We also were able to bring Bruno to our home, my kids are loving having a dog! And Randall went right to work building him his own dog house- it is huge! The kids thought it would make a better playhouse! But now since its been so cold Im glad Bruno had a nice place to stay warm. We've had -11 degree weather these past few weeks! Yikes.

The kids loved snuggling and helping me with this cute baby each day.
 He is defiantly loved!

We also got to spend a day with LeeAnn, Sara, and Bethany and played a bunch of games and did some fun crafts. We loved having them at our house for the day.
This game is called "Googly eyes" it is a must for kids- and adults, it's a fun one for the whole family.

We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day at Grandma Cody's!
Then the day after Christmas we had a fun Birthday party for my mom, she put it all together. We did a fun "Project Runway" themed party and each family had to design and put together a outfit constructed from materials in a bag. It was so much fun, we all got really into it!
and Christmas morning deserves it's own post! So stay tuned!
