I love this Holiday, who doesn't?
Food, Family, and usually a long nap! Sounds perfect.
This year we spent the day (well actually 4 days) with my family. We ate lots of food and spent a bunch of time playing a few competitive games of Ticket to Ride,
and we didn't even go shopping!! That was a first for me, I had no desire! Instead I did it all online and went to sleep early.
On Friday we went to a movie and then lunch at a great new diner in Rexburg (The Burg). It was fun to just be with everyone and enjoy each others company. I feel like these kids are growing up so fast I can barely keep up! Our kids are really close, they all love each other so much. It's fun to watch them run and play and encourage each other, they get along so good.
Clay and Mack, and my Pretty Carmen
Thursday meal prep...
The Kid table...
The kids made these cute turkey cups while we were cooking.
The Adult Table...
Quaid kept us all entertained, this kid is the sweetest boy ever.
My brother Kyle chose baby duty as opposed to cooking or cleaning, he did a pretty good job!
And of course the kids took turns napping with Grandpa...
(Leighton & Tommy, Ridge and Clay)
Friday the boys wore matching Carhartt outfits, Mack was so proud to match Ridge.
These two melt me.
And then we came home and went to bed.
It's exhausting being with family all day! (I love how these two have the same scowl!)
This year I'm not only Thankful for my family, friends, faith, and health- I'm also very thankful for the little things that keep me going; like diet coke from the Pop Stop, HGTV, and the occasional escape to Target (they don't happen as often as they used to!)
