Water Days

By July we usually have taken the boat out at least a few times and swam at Rigby Lake several times- this year we have only made it one time each! How sad is that?!

We were able to make a night run out on the boat a week or so ago with our neighbors, it was kind of a last minute thing! We threw on our swim suits, loaded the dirty kids, and made a snack and pop stop at the gas station before heading to Ririe Reservoir after 6pm last Saturday night.
That is Me, Easton, and Jill on the tube. (Carmen is becoming a great photographer!)

The weather was amazing.
The water was smooth.
It was really relaxing after a busy day.
And most of the Saturday rush was leaving so we had most of the water to ourselves.

We love boating at night.
At one point we pulled over to a little dock and let the kids jump in and out of the water and just play for a little while. They were so excited. Im afraid we have some serious fish on our hands!

Then last Tuesday- or Wednesday, I can't remember!- we went to Rigby Lake for the day and let the kids play in the water. They love it and I love that they are entertained for hours. We got there early and it was a little chili but by noon it got really hot! I have a sweet sunburn to prove it!

Now that it is almost August, I am hoping we can do both of these things a little bit more- our summer has been so busy so far! I feel like the days go to quickly.
I love when we can do things outside and especially things that wear these kids out!
Our weather has been so hot this summer that I find myself just wanting to stay inside with the AC turned up high! It's nice to get out and enjoy the sunshine- and its even better that these two beautiful places are so close to home.
