Disney Vaca: Day 7, 8, & Home!

Thursday we went to California Adventure first thing in the morning!
The weather was amazing.
We were first timers and we were so excited!
(Note Randall on the phone above... well, at home it was a blizzard, since he does snow removal he was a little stressed out about not being there! He got a call first thing that his truck had been wrecked by some of his co-workers! I'm pretty sure he spend the rest of the day on his phone- which drove me crazy!! I did my best to ignore it but really wanted to break that thing!)
The line to get into the park was pretty crazy, but once we got inside it wasn't bad at all! My parents ran to get Fast passes to the Car's ride and we went to the Monster's Inc ride, Sully was outside so we were able to greet him right away. He kept attacking Mack, Mack loved it! Leighton was terrified, and I'm not sure where Carmen was!
This ride was awesome and since we've gotten home the kids have watched these movies a million times! Before they never really cared about them!
Mack, Me, and Carmen went on Tower of Terror right away- I HATED IT!! So did Carmen! I wanted it to end before it even started, but I was proud of myself for trying!! Although I will NEVER do it again!  Mack LOVED it and because we got Single Parent passes he was able to get Randall and they went on it over and over! It was his favorite part of the whole trip! He is a brave kid!
Car's Land was like a dream! I absolutely loved it! It's like your in the movie- but it's real life! I couldn't get enough of all the details- it was perfect and at night it got even better! I think out of everything it was my favorite part. (I've said that a lot!)

At night the Cars came out and they had music and dancing in the street- I had a little to much fun! We all really enjoyed it! And the new Cars ride was fantastic! We did get to do it a few times, and we loved it! I love how you can't see Carmen's face but how her hands are up, she loved this ride!
We also LOVED the Toy Story ride, but waited in line for a very long time to go on it. It was worth the wait but we wish we could have done it a few times!

We also watched the Feliz Navidad Parade, that was fun, the dancers were beautiful.

Then we went back over to Main Street to see Disney Junior Live. Leighton was in heaven!! She is still talking about it. Doc McStuffins, Sofia, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and Mickey Mouse clubhouse all perform and do a fun show for the kids- it was so cute.
Afterwards we waited outside to meet the Characters, they were fantastic!

We then sat and waited a few minutes for the Night Light Parade, the music, the dancing- it was so fun!
While we waited Carmen and Leighton did some posing- they are crazy!
For Leighton's souvenir she picked this light up Minnie and another soft Baby Minnie with a blanket. Carmen picked out a Birthstone necklace and  Frozen makeup kit- she is such a girl! They were all really excited to get something to take home, I'm glad we waited until the end to let them pick. Grandma bought Mack a Light Saver and they had a great time playing with everything on our drive home.
We loved California Adventure! It did not disappoint! We did it all in one day and somethings we did a few times. The best part was that the weather was perfect!
At about 8:00 we went over to watch the World of Color show, they shoot water into the air and show amazing colors and play a movie on it, Olaf is the narrator and is hilarious! They play all the Frozen songs and Leighton sang her little heart out. It really is a must see!
I cried again.
It was a perfect ending to our vacation.

We walked back to the Condo feeling tired and a little bittersweet.
Sad that it was the end, but also happy we were able to spend such a magical week together.

Friday morning we got things packed and headed home. The traffic was a little nuts, but not as bad as when we came! We made it to St. George about 4, had dinner, sat in the hot tubs, then crashed.
Saturday morning we left for Provo. We hit a crazy white-out snow storm in Nephi and we were a little worried about making it home the rest of the way. But it stopped before Provo and was clear the rest of the way. We originally had planned on staying in Lehi for the night, but since we arrived in Provo at about 3, we decided it was best to just keep going. So we ate, stopped at Walmart to get the kids a movie and pi's and kept on driving!
We did stop and hang out with these cute faces for a bit and let the kids run around.
I couldn't handle Tommy's cuteness! He kept growling and waving at the kids, he melts me.

We arrived home in Rigby about 8 Saturday night.
We were all so exhausted!!
Sunday we spent the day resting and putting things away.
I found Miss Leighton like this just after 12!

Poor thing, we wore her out!

Coming home was actually not as bad as I thought it would be.
I missed my home and was anxious to get to my own bed.
It was a great vacation- but it is also great to be home.

We are already planning another trip back in a few more years!
