Sleigh Rides

Leighton and I have really enjoyed our time alone each morning while the other kids are at school. She sleeps in- I get my morning exercising in, catch up on a little work, and usually get to watch The Price is Right- my favorite, all before she even wakes up.
Then we like to make breakfast and watch My Little Ponys, her favorite, and I catch up on Instagram.
She follows me around and entertains herself pretty well.
It's pretty great.

A few weeks ago we were able to go spent time with my friends Preschool class, Mrs. Bird was Carmen's preschool teacher last year (and my good friend) she asked if she could take her class on sleigh rides again this year. We were just excited to be a part of it! Any excuse to get out and ride the sleigh with Grandpa!

My dad and Randall had Dick and Homer all loaded and ready to go as we arrived early that morning. All the kids were so excited to ride the big sleigh- and it wasn't even that cold!

Leighton was so excited to be part of it- she rode with Grandpa the whole time and thought she was pretty important. I called my sister and had her bring her cute girls to join in the fun, Emlin is so social,  she joined the other kids as if she was part of their class! Millie was a little more timid but was fine as long as she got to ride with Grandpa. And I made sure and snuggled her as much as possible!

And we brought Leighton's best buddy Leah along with us- it was such a fun morning. The kids loved it and rode for quite a while since the weather was pretty good!

It was a perfect winter morning.
We came home and waited for Carmen to get of the bus from school.
I'm gonna miss this little monkey when she goes off to school.
These few hours we have alone each day seem to be may favorite. (And so are those little toes.)
